An ETL-listed product meeting ASME A18.1 safety standards, the preowned AmeriGlide HD has the same failsafes as its smaller counterparts, including footrest sensors that detect obstructions, rail limiters that prevent the lift seat from jumping the track, and a locking seat belt.
This bull of a stair lift runs on standard 110-volt electrical current, plugging directly into your existing household outlet. We only recommend the preowned AmeriGlide Heavy Duty Stairlift for staircases 36 inches or wider, as the lift unit itself will take up 30 inches of space. Also, please note that this stairlift uses a chair which faces downstairs, parallel to the direction in which the track runs.
